The Ministry hosted its first Workshop on April 1st presented by Gerda Krogslund, a Master Gardener from Cornell Cooperative Extension.
The presentation introduced gardeners to the fundamentals of garden design and to explore how to make the most of what you already have in place.
Gerda covered:
Bio: Gerda Krogslund has served the gardening community since 2005. Gerda retired in 2003 from her career as a high-school math teacher and she often uses her teaching skills to help her grandchildren with their education. Gerda loves traveling, presenting to local community groups and reading. She still finds a few moments to maintain lovely gardens at her homes in NY and Martha’s Vineyard.
We learned many things during her presentation and now will be able to apply this new information as we plan our adopted gardens on our campus and at home. During our break we enjoyed refreshments and goodies donated from Ministry Members and also had our first Member meeting for 2023. The best news is that we gained 15 new members at this meeting, bringing the total membership to 60!
Thank you all for your participation and your generous contributions of time, baking and donations to make this event a great success!
