I received the following letter from a parishioner. It gave me some thought and so I am passing it on to you. "Seeing the crosses on the soccer field fence (referring to the display generously set-up by the Shaughnessy fami- ly) is so powerful and so thought-provoking. Some thoughts on pro-life that have been playing on my mind! The touch of the Master's hand has made us so unique that no two people have the same fingerprint. As it is with our Creator, for all times, no duplicate! For many years one's fingerprint was the only thing necessary in checking our criminals... etc. Then someone decided to check into someone's DNA. Of course, no two DNA's [are alike] also. It did not take long for lawyers to pick up on this and many falsely con- victed people were given their freedom. Such a powerful testimony to God's creative power. You might say that our identity was in place before we were even born. In God, there is no measuring, no beginning and no end. Abortion [is] such an insult to this wonderful, creative God. When will God run out of patience with us?" Thank You The collection of Sunday, May 15 was $16,079 (of which WeShare amounted to $5,990). Thank you ever so much for your continued generosity. |
