Dear Parishioners,
We hope you all had a blessed summer.
During our summer, Carmela and I were very busy planning our next pilgrimage/retreat to Medjugorje/Dubrovnik and we would like to take this opportunity to personally invite you to journey with us. It will be a 12 day pilgrimage/retreat, June 7 - 18, 2020. Once again, we are blessed as Fr. Glenn Sudano, CFR, will be our Spiritual Director.
Joe Campo, producer/director of Child 31, The Human Experience, and many other award-winning films will be on pilgrimage with us. He will share his experiences in producing these films. The pilgrims will have the opportunity to view a few of these films.
We will depart from Newark International Airport to Dubrovnik on Sunday, June 7th on Lufthansa Airlines via Munich. At the Munich International Airport, Monday, June 8th, Fr. Glenn will begin our pilgrimage/retreat celebrating a private Mass at the Airport Chapel. After Holy Mass, we will board our connecting flight to Dubrovnik.
We will spend 2 nights in Dubrovnik at the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik before departing to Medjugorje on Wednesday morning, June 10th. The Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik is a 5-Star hotel located approximately 30 minutes from the Dubrovnik International Airport and right outside the Pile Gate, Old Town Dubrovnik. Dinner will be waiting for us upon our arrival at the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik.
On Tuesday, June 9th, after breakfast at the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik, we will begin our day with Holy Mass, followed by a walking tour of Old Town Dubrovnik. Every room has a balcony with a view of Apparition Hill or Cross Mountain. The hotel is family owned and operated. During our eight night stay in Medjugorje, we will enjoy breakfast and dinner in a private restaurant at the hotel. Also, a conference room will be available to us for prayer and spiritual conferences.
During our stay in Medjugorje, Fr. Glenn Sudano, CFR, will be offering a retreat. The retreat will include praying together and daily conferences. Fr. Glenn will incorporate all of the spiritual activities offered in Medjugorje as part of the retreat. Also, we will have the opportunity to attend daily Mass in St. James Church, receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and pray daily in the Chapel of Exposition.
