Several parishioners, as well as parish staff, including, Fr. Jack, Fr. Reynor, Steve Mandracchia, Katie Bisaro, Matt Forestiere, Walter Beatty, George Knight and Mary Juliano have been meeting since the fall to coordinate and plan for a new security ministry for our parish.
This ministry is being formed to address the preparedness of the parish, in dealing with all types of emergency situations, whether they be medical, fire, weather or violence.
The mission of this ministry is for us, the parishioners to continue to feel safe and comfortable during worship and special events on our parish campus, while always having an awareness of our surroundings and a plan in the event of an incident.
The volunteers of this ministry will be the "first eyes" of the parish - whether serving in the capacity of greeter, usher, lector, medical personnel, first responder, law enforcement, disaster recovery or financial.
Each and every person serving this ministry is vital!
If you are interested in learning more and serving on this ministry - the more the better - please sign up by emailing [email protected] or by calling the parish office. The ministry coordinators are compiling a "play book" for possible scenarios we may encounter and will be scheduling training sessions for all involved. Thank you for considering serving the parishioners of St. Stephens.
